Blueberry Markets Formalizes Entry into Proprietary Trading with First-Year Metrics and Expanded Product Scope
Blueberry Markets, an Australia-based brokerage regulated by ASIC, has reported $2.3 million in payouts through its proprietary trading division, Blueberry Funded, during its first year of operations. The initiative, launched in mid-2024, marks the firm's transition from infrastructure provider to active participant in the proprietary trading sector.
Prior to launching Blueberry Funded, Blueberry Markets had supported external prop trading firms by offering white-labelled MetaTrader platforms and other backend services. That model came under pressure after MetaQuotes, the developer of MetaTrader, introduced platform restrictions affecting prop firms operating in the United States. Following the changes, Blueberry Markets discontinued services to several prop trading firms, prompting operational disruptions and service interruptions across multiple platforms.
With the rollout of Blueberry Funded, the broker joins a growing number of firms moving directly into the prop trading space. This trend includes other brokers such as ThinkMarkets, IC Markets, Traders Trust, and Trade.com, which have launched their own funded trader programs in response to structural shifts in the market and increasing trader demand.
Blueberry Funded has since expanded its offerings to include CFD-based equity challenges, allowing traders to access over 1,000 individual stocks through MetaTrader 5 and DXtrade. The division has also introduced proprietary synthetic index products as part of its broader evaluation framework.
