FTX’s Subsidiary Receives DLT Provider License from the GFSC

Crypto exchange FTX Trading Limited ("FTX" ) announced that its Gibraltar subsidiary, Zubr Exchange Limited, has received Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) provider license from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
As detailed in the official announcement, the exchange acquired Zubr earlier this year. Zubr will maintain its local presence and operational autonomy in line with the DLT provider license requirements. Additionally, the company will be devoting significant resources towards developing a strong working relationship with the GFSC.
"We're excited that ZUBR is now fully licensed under one of the world's first crypto regulatory frameworks. Securing this DLT provider license for our subsidiary is a key step toward our goal of creating a trustworthy and compliant exchange group that can be used by investors of all types around the globe," commented Sam Bankman Fried, CEO & Founder of FTX.
As Fazzaco reported earlier, FTX has announced a long-term partnership with Stephen Curry, a famous American professional basketball player. In connection with being an FTX global ambassador, Curry will receive an equity stake in FTX Trading Limited and Curry's foundation, Eat.Learn.Play., will partner with FTX on charitable initiatives.
