New Zealand's FMA Warns Against Bitengecko

The New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority (FMA) today published a warning on its website against Bitengecko.

According to the regulator, the firm is using or giving the following details:

As detailed in the notice, the regulatory body said that Bitengecko is operating a scam. FMA points out that the fraudulent platforms act very aggressively. They even try to persuade the victims to allow them to take control of their computer remotely in order to make certain money transfers. Moreover, they also try to convince the victims to invest increasingly higher amounts of money.

In addition, the Belgian financial markets regulator [Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has listed Bitengecko on its list of "Fraudulent Online Trading Platforms". FMA recommends exercising caution when dealing with this entity.
