Nomura Research Institute Completes Acquisition of Convergence Technologies

Nomura Research Institute​, Ltd. (NRI) yesterday announced that Nomura Research Institute Holdings America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary and NRI's regional headquarters in the Americas, has completed the acquisition of 100% shares of Convergence Technologies, Inc. (CT), parent company of Core BTS, Inc. (Core BTS).

Core BTS is a U.S. company that provides a full line up of services of digital transformation solutions in the area of "digital engineering", which is difficult to develop in-house and requires a high level of expertise. Through strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Cisco, Core BTS provides consulting, development and implementation, and operations in the cloud, digital development, networking and security business domains for customers in a wide range of industries, including retail, healthcare and manufacturing.

With this acquisition, NRI will build the business foundation in the U.S. and leverage cross-selling synergies in Japan, Australia and the Americas to further expand our global business.

In the middle of August, NRI announced that it will begin providing an optional liquidity risk monitoring service on T-STAR/GX, a solution designed for asset managers and trust banks.
