New Zealand FMA Warns Against CapitalInvestmentsTrust.com

The New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority (FMA) today published a warning on its website against the website CapitalInvestmentsTrust.com, which uses the registration details of a legitimate New Zealand company called Capital Investments Trust Limited.
According to the regulator, the regulated firm has confirmed having no association with the website nor were they aware that the website was using their registration details and business name.
In addition, this fake website offers trading on the forex market, stock market, and cryptocurrency market with the ability to gain unrealistically high returns and claims being authorized by the Danish Business Authority, but there is no record of them found on the Danish central business register.
"CapitalInvestmentsTrust.com is not a registered financial service provider in New Zealand and is therefore not permitted to provide financial services to New Zealand residents,"the authority concluded."We recommend caution if dealing with this website.”
In its latest action, the FMA has published a formal warning against Squirrel P2P Trustee Limited for failing to carry out certain obligations as a custodian. The entity provides a custodial service for the peer-to-peer lending service of Squirrel Money Limited.
