ThinkMarkets Secures License in Cyprus to Serve EU Clients

Fazzaco learned that ThinkMarkets, Australia-based online brokerage firm, has obtained a license in Cyprus through the acquisition of a local licensed entity, for the purpose of serving its clients in the EU region from the Cyprus office.

ThinkMarkets has already acquired the local entity, A-Conversio Capital Ltd, in 2019, which has been rebranded to TF Global Markets (Europe) Ltd now, reportedly. The firm explained that it was not set about hiring, and onboarding and serving clients in Cyprus until earlier this year, on account of the COVID pandemic.

Before Brexit, the broker served its EU clients from its FCA-regulated arm in London, TF Global Markets (UK) Limited.

Shortly before, Fazzaco reported that ThinkMarkets has hired Chantelle Lea​, an experienced marketing executive with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, as Marketing Manager in Cyprus.
