JPMorgan Hires Ex-Celsius Executive Aaron Iovine as Head of Digital Assets Regulatory Policy

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired Aaron Iovine, a former executive of bankrupt crypto lender Celsius, as its new head of digital assets regulatory policy.

Iovine joined the company this week as executive director for digital assets regulatory policy, a newly created role, a JPMorgan spokeswoman confirmed. He was previously head of policy and regulatory for cryptocurrency lender Celsius Network Ltd., which had filed for bankruptcy in July. An official documents for the Celsius case showed that Iovine's name appears on a list of thousands of unsecured creditors with claims against the company.
As seen on Aaron Iovine's LinkedIn profile, he is a lawyer who had spent almost three years at Cross River, a leading financial service provider, where he served as Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs. Iovine Joined Celsius in this February and left in September, two months after the crypto lender's bankrupt. He is now held important roles at Transformative Leadership in Disruptive Times at Seton Hall, American Bar Association, and Internet Law & Policy Foundry.
Iovine's join marks the most recent addition to JPMorgan's Executive Leadership Team amongst several key hires this year, including the appointment of Peggy Mangot as Head Fintech Partnerships in May.
