24 Exchange Launches FX Swaps Trading with CobaltFX

24 Exchange, a multi-asset trading platform, has announced the launch of live FX swaps trading. This new offering is enabled through a partnership with CobaltFX, a part of United Fintech, which provides credit and post-trade infrastructure. The integration utilizes CobaltFX's Dynamic Credit process.
According to a statement released by the companies, this development aims to optimize credit intermediation, reduce operational risk, and enhance liquidity efficiency for participants in the FX market.
The Dynamic Credit process employed by CobaltFX allows counterparties to establish credit relationships in advance and then dynamically allocate available credit based on real-time trading conditions. This is intended to enable market participants to execute trades with optimized capital efficiency, potentially avoiding the need for excessive pre-funding and mitigating settlement risks.
24 Exchange highlights that the integration of Dynamic Credit is designed to benefit both those providing and those taking liquidity. The company suggests that traditional limitations on credit and operational inefficiencies have historically been challenges in the FX swaps market. By dynamically managing credit exposure through CobaltFX's technology, traders may gain access to deeper pools of liquidity and execute larger trades with potentially reduced counterparty risk.
Jason Woerz, President of 24 Exchange, commented on the launch, saying, "We are thrilled to be live with FX swaps trading and to offer our clients a more efficient, cost-effective trading environment. The collaboration with CobaltFX allows us to redefine how credit is managed in the FX market, giving participants unprecedented access to liquidity."
Darren Coote, CEO of CobaltFX, also shared his perspective, stating, "24 Exchange's adoption of our Dynamic Credit process is a testament to its ability to revolutionise credit management in FX markets. By optimising credit usage in real-time, we are helping the industry reduce risk while increasing efficiency and transparency."
