Fazzaco learned that Exness, the global leader in multi-asset trading, has launched its new office in Uruguay last week. This marks the broker’s first physical location in Latin America.

The company has been seeking to grow its presence in the Latin America region. "Exness has been operating in the financial markets for 15 years now, yet we consider the opening of our Uruguay offices a new beginning," said Artem Seledtsov, Chief Business Development Officer at Exness.

Currently, the broker is not regulated in Uruguay, but it holds several licenses globally to provide trading services in Latin America. The firm has secured eight licenses, which are from Cyprus, the UK, South Africa, Kenya, Mauritius, BVI, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, and Seychelles.

Reportedly, the new office will house customer support operations for Exness, and a team of 100 employees by the end of the year as well.

Explaining why the broker chose Uruguay for its first Latam presence, Artem Seledtsov stated, "Uruguay and Latin America, in general, are very important for our growth strategy. The opening of our offices here is a major milestone for us, and the upcoming hires of local talent are an important part of our expansion plans. We are extremely excited about this and cannot wait to see our LatAm plans come to fruition."

This month, the broker unveiled that it has achieved the record monthly client trading volumes for January 2023 of $2.822 trillion. Besides, its number of active traders for the first month also hit new high of 414,502.
