Sophia Barnes Elevated to Marketing Manager at Bloomberg

Fazzaco learned that Sophia Barnes has risen to become Global Marketing Manager at Bloomberg, with remits of overseeing global commodities and data marketing.

Sophia has been part of Bloomberg over two years. Prior to the new role, she served the company as APAC Marketing Manager since her joining in October 2020. In this position, she oversaw financial products marketing across Greater China region, led Electronic Trading Solutions marketing (fixed income, FX, equity, etc.) for Asia Pacific.

Before joining Bloomberg, Sophia has spent more than eight years at Multibank Group, a leading multinational online FX and CFD brokerage. She joined the broker as Senior Project Manager in June 2012, then was promoted to Director of Public Relations and Marketing after three years and seven months.

Shortly before, Fazzaco reported that Bloomberg has agreed to acquire Broadway Technology, LLC​, a leading provider of high-performance front-office solutions.

The acquisition will allow Bloomberg to enhance its offering of low-latency execution management products optimized for rates trading, enabling its further innovation in multi-asset software.
