Crypto Exchange Kraken Launches Institutional Brand

Crypto exchange Kraken announced Tuesday (February 27, 2024) the launch of its institutional brand, Kraken Institutional, which delivers institutions "all they need" to engage in the digital asset class.

"In crypto, there's no substitute for experience. Institutions need a dedicated and experienced partner: one that’s innovative and flexible enough to offer solutions that suit the growing needs of institutions as they adopt, manage and scale their crypto practices," said Tim Ogilvie, Global Head of Institutional, Kraken.

"That's where Kraken Institutional comes in. Kraken Institutional is a new brand that brings together Kraken's existing products and services tailored specifically for institutions to trade, stake and custody crypto."

The exec notes that Kraken Institutional will offer a product suite this year, including a custody solution that will launch later this year.

Last week, Fazzaco reported that Kraken moved to kick out the SEC's lawsuit​, citing that the regulator didn't allege fraud and stretched the definition of a contract in its lawsuit against Kraken.
