Societe Generale Appoints Group Chief Data Officer

Societe Generale has appointed Christophe Tummers as Group Chief Data Officer, as of April 1st 2024. Reporting to Laura Mather, Group Chief Operating Officer, Christophe will be responsible for the Global Data Office.

Christophe is a seasoned data professional with close to 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He joins Societe Generale from UBS, where he was a Managing Director and most recently held the positions of Group Chief Data Officer (Group CDO) and then CDO for ESG.

He has a computer engineering degree and a passion for data excellence. At UBS, Christophe established the group CDO function and the group data management office, and led the remediation of the firm's data architecture, governance and quality. He also held various senior roles in operations and technology, all at UBS.

This appointmens follows Societe Generale naming Ludivine Labarre as Group Deputy Chief Risk Officer.
