Indigo Trader Funding, a prop trading firm, has filed an application to be struck off the official UK companies register, following a series of operational disruptions and communication halts. The company's abrupt end comes amidst a broader trend of instability within the proprietary trading sector.

As of late July, Indigo Trader Funding had been actively promoting its products and services on social media platforms, including Discord and X (formerly Twitter). However, activity on these platforms ceased abruptly on July 23. Shortly thereafter, Lucas Thomas, the company's president, announced on Discord that all communications would be suspended, apologizing for the "slow support response" in recent weeks. Support issues were redirected to an email address, and the option to apply for free accounts was also suspended.

On August 12, Indigo Trader Funding Limited filed to be removed from the UK companies register, with the official removal date set for August 20. This filing follows a pattern of short-lived ventures by Thomas, who is not yet 30 and previously launched similar projects such as Thomas Forex Trading, Woofly, and L&N. Both Woofly and L&N exited the market quickly, mirroring Indigo's rapid decline.

Recent collapses in the prop trading sector, including those of Karma Prop Trader, Funded Engineer, and True Forex Funds, highlight the volatility and challenges within the industry.
