Prop Firm Funded Friends Closes Operations, Acquired by TradingFunds

Prop Firm Funded Friends has announced its closure and subsequent acquisition by competitor TradingFunds. Founded earlier this year by CEO Arjo Janssens, Funded Friends was positioned to offer trading opportunities to aspiring traders.
However, Janssens revealed that despite the firm's potential, he has decided to step away to focus on his role as a financial influencer. "I have realized it's not my passion, and it is not a business that I want to keep pursuing," he stated in a recent communication on the firm's official Discord and X.
The closure comes with a commitment to refund all active account holders in full, alongside offering vouchers equivalent to account values for use at TradingFunds. Furthermore, Funded Friends has pledged to distribute profits to funded accounts, even for those who do not meet typical trading requirements.
Janssens emphasized that there were no liquidity issues or problems with customer fund payouts, stating, "I wanted everyone to hear this from me. We don't have liquidity issues or issues paying out traders."
This announcement follows a trend in the industry, with another prop trading firm, Gold Funded Trader, having announced its closure just weeks prior due to a lack of interest in its offerings. As part of the transition, all Funded Friends employees have been assured new positions at TradingFunds. Janssens expressed optimism about this decision, asserting that it will allow him to dedicate more time to his trading, educational content on platforms like YouTube, and family life.
