Unit4 Appoints Former Finastra CEO Simon Paris to Lead Next Phase of Growth

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions provider Unit4 has announced the appointment of Simon Paris as its new CEO, effective February 3rd. Paris succeeds Mike Ettling, who has led Unit4 since 2019 and will be stepping down at the end of January. This leadership transition marks a new chapter for the company as it aims for further expansion.
Unit4, founded in 1980, specializes in providing cloud-based ERP solutions for mid-market businesses. Its software helps automate core business functions, including finance, human resources, procurement, project management, and enterprise planning. The company serves more than 5,100 customers globally across various industries.
Ettling expressed confidence in Paris's ability to lead Unit4 into its next phase of growth, stating he holds "all the qualities needed" to lead the company "toward our ambitious goal of €1 billion in revenue." This statement underscores the company's ambitious growth plans and the strategic importance of this appointment.
Paris brings over 25 years of experience in the technology sector to the role, with a strong track record of leadership and innovation. Most notably, he served as CEO of Finastra for six years, a leading financial software provider. During his tenure at Finastra, the company reportedly achieved double-digit Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth, demonstrating his ability to drive financial performance.
