ZA Bank Appoints Calvin Ng as New Chief Executive Officer

ZA Bank, a prominent digital bank based in Hong Kong, has announced the appointment of Calvin Ng as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 27th. This follows the departure of Ronald Iu, who has stepped down from his roles as CEO and executive director.
Mr. Ng is a founding member of ZA Bank and has been instrumental in its development since its inception, playing a key role in the application for a digital banking license in Hong Kong and its subsequent official launch. He has served as the bank's executive director since September 2022.
Prior to joining ZA Bank, which secured its license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 2019 and boasts over 800,000 users as of June 30, 2024, Mr. Ng held the position of SVP, Head of Digital, Innovation & Payment, Consumer Banking Group at DBS Bank for 11 years.
ZA Bank is recognized as reportedly the first licensed bank in Asia to offer cryptocurrency trading services to retail investors, operating under what it describes as a "comprehensive regulatory framework for virtual assets" and as a member of FATF.
