Blue Guardian Relaunches MetaTrader 5 with Proprietary Infrastructure

Blue Guardian has announced the official relaunch of the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform, which is now powered entirely by the firm's own license and server infrastructure. The company described this action as a milestone in its effort to provide traders with a faster, smoother, and more reliable trading experience.

In an official statement, Blue Guardian indicated that the new MT5 setup will replace the existing system and requires a full migration of all accounts currently operating on the old MT5 platform. The migration process is scheduled to begin this Friday, May 2, 2025, at 4 PM EST.

Blue Guardian has issued instructions for traders currently using MT5, requiring them to close all open positions before the migration time. Any trades that remain open after 4 PM EST on Friday will be automatically closed by Blue Guardian's system to ensure a seamless transition. Following a successful migration, traders are expected to receive new MT5 account credentials, including login details and passwords, which will be accessible directly through their Blue Guardian Dashboard.

To support this transition, Blue Guardian stated it will provide detailed guides and support resources through its customer support channels and official website.

The company views this strategic shift to a self-managed MT5 environment as a means to improve overall platform performance by potentially reducing latency, increasing execution speed, and providing greater stability. By taking full control of the MT5 infrastructure, Blue Guardian stated its aim is to enhance trader confidence and improve operational reliability across all account types.

Blue Guardian noted that with this development, it joins a growing number of prop firms that are opting to operate MT5 under their own licenses. This approach is presented as a move that not only strengthens technical control but also reduces dependency on third-party providers.
