Axi Promotes Owais Anwer as Global Head of Technology Operations

Axi, a retail FX and CFDs broker based in Australia, has undergone internal structural changes which the company states are intended to support its continued global growth. As part of these organizational adjustments, Dubai-based executive Owais Anwer has been promoted to the position of Global Head of Technology Operations.

In his new role, Owais Anwer will lead several global functions within Axi, including Security, DevOps, Observability, Application Services, and Infrastructure.

Axi stated that Mr. Anwer brings over 20 years of experience in the fintech sector and has a decade-long tenure at Axi itself. The company indicated that he provides strong leadership and deep operational insight to his expanded remit. Owais Anwer originally joined Axi in 2015 as an Engineer based in the company's Sydney headquarters. He subsequently transferred to Axi's Dubai office in 2017, and since 2020, he has served as the firm's Head of Application Services.
