Digital banking platform Revolut has hired Reem Khayat, formerly of Binance, to lead product marketing for its cryptocurrency division, signaling a stronger push into the digital assets market.

Khayat worked at Binance for three years as Marketing Lead for the Middle East and North Africa, where she managed regional strategy, operations, and growth from the exchange's Dubai office. Her appointment follows a series of senior hires at Revolut as it diversifies its offerings beyond its neobanking roots.

Before her time at Binance, Khayat held marketing roles at several major firms, including the payments company Mollie, online travel giant Booking.com, and ride-hailing platform Uber.

Revolut has been expanding its leadership team to strengthen its financial services reach. Last month, the company added Stavros Anastasiou, former CEO of Markets.com, as a Board Advisor. It also appointed Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as CEO for its European Union operations, based in Paris.

The move comes as leading crypto exchanges have been moving into traditional finance products, while Revolut appears to be moving in the opposite direction — reinforcing its digital asset business. The company's latest hire suggests a continued commitment to building a global crypto brand that complements its core banking services.
