SGX Appoints Pol de Win as Head of Global Sales and Origination

Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced that it has appointed Pol de Win as Senior Managing Director, Head of Global Sales and Origination (GSO), effective 1 July 2021.
According to the press release, Mr de Win will succeed Mr Chew Sutat who spent over 14 years at the SGX.
As seen on his LinkedIn profile, prior to joining SGX, Mr de Win was Managing Director with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, heading Southeast Asia Financial Institutions and Fintech. He holds a Master of Science degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Mr Loh Boon Chye, Chief Executive Officer of SGX, said, "As we enter a new growth stage, we are pleased to welcome Pol to SGX. He adds perspective and experience honed from a vast network of relationships with regional issuers, global investors and major exchanges. With Pol's leadership, we look forward to broadening and deepening the businesses Sutat and the team have built."
Earlier last month, Fazzaco reported that SGX released its market statistics for April 2021, showing a 30% rise year-on-year in FX traded volume.
