TFX’s Click 365 Shows a Monthly Recovery in June

The Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX) yesterday released its trading volume in June 2021, showing a monthly recovery in FX Daily Futures contracts (Click 365), which was 2,119,854, enjoying a month-over-month increase of 11.6% over that of May.
According to the official press release, however, the figure of Click 365’s monthly trading volume is still bearish year-over-year, 21.0% lower than last June. And Click 365's average daily trading volume was 96,355. In detail, the U.S. Dollar-Japanese Yen remains the most traded currency pair, which was 46,105, with an increase of 4.7% over last month, followed by Mexican Peso-Japanese Yen and Turkish Lira-Japanese Yen, which enjoyed 29.9% and 62.3% increase respectively. Whereas, the Australian Dollar-US Dollar fell the most month-over-month.
In terms of Equity Index Daily Futures contracts (Click kabu 365), its total trading volume was 2,421,773, declining 36.4% month-over-month, while surging 83.0% year-over-year. And its average daily trading volume was 110,080.
In addition, as of May 17,2021, the total trading volume of FX Clearing reached 4,349,677 and its average daily volume was 197,713. Its open position amount at end of the month was 164,930 thousand US dollar.
In general, the combined trading volume for all TFX products was 8,903,157, which increased 23.9% month-over-month and 120.8% year-over-year.
