A Dynamic Report of 31 Executives of 34 Brokers & Fintechs Since August 2023

The calendar has turned to September 2023, and Fazzaco continues to monitor the executive moves of several forex brokers and fintechs in the financial community this year.
In this article, we present a statistical analysis of the forex executive moves from August 2023 to date (September 11). The data shows that since August, the industry's executive moves have still been mainly driven by hiring, but the number of internal promotions has declined compared to the previous months, and the overall trend still highlights the industry's stable business expansion.
Hiring vs. Promoting vs. Leaving
By filtering the Fazzaco News database, the data in this article uses a total of 30 news under the Executive Moves tag reported by Fazzaco from August 2023, involving 31 people across 34 companies, including 24 brokers and 10 intechs. Of course, such classification is far from accurate for certain firms operate astride more fields, providing both trading as well as B2B tech solutions. Moreover, we did not include executive changes in crypto institutions and large financial institutions that provide pan-financial services.
We categorized the personnel movements as follows:
Internal promotion: 3 people from 3 brokers;
External hiring: 25 people, of which 16 came from 13 brokers and 9 came from 9 fintechs;
Leaving/job-hopping: 9 people, of which 8 came from 7 brokers and 1 came from 1 fintech (of which 6 were job-hoppers, so they were also counted among the 25 externally hired).

Therefore, from the above chart, we can roughly infer the following data distribution (as shown below): In the industry executive movements from August to early September 2023, 67.57% were hired, 8.11% were promoted, and the remaining 24.32% either left or / and hopped jobs.
By company type, hiring accounted for 59.26%, promotion for 11.11%, and leaving/job-hopping for 29.63% among brokers; hiring accounted for 90%, promotion for none, and leaving/job-hopping for 10% among fintechs.

Other Executive Moves Worth Noting
The crypto community has also been a key area of focus for the Fazzaco team. Among them, the most eye-catching is Binance, which is in a regulatory dilemma in many countries. The exchange has seen a number of executives leave, including its chief strategy officer Patrick Hillmann and a group of other executives. In early September, Binance product manager Mayur Kamat announced that he would also leave Binance after nearly two years of service at the exchange.
At the end of August, cryptocurrency liquidity provider B2C2 appointed Karolina Obalkowska as its group client onboarding manager. It is worth mentioning that before joining B2C2, she served as KYC and client onboarding manager at Finalto, a leading global financial services provider, for more than four years.
In addition, crypto platform Crypto.com announced the promotion of Abhi Bisarya to its chief product officer.
