A Dynamic Report of 63 Executive Moves of 46 Brokers, Fintechs & Crypto Firms Since Feb 2024

This year, we will continuously follow the executive moves of various brokers and fintech companies in the financial sector, as well as crypto firms. In the following article, we present a statistical analysis of the executive movements in the forex / crypto market from February 6 2024 to April 12 2024.
Hiring vs. Promotion vs. Leaving
By filtering the Fazzaco News database, the data in this article uses a total of 45 news under the Executive Moves tag reported by Fazzaco since February 2024, involving 63 job changes across 46 companies.
From the perspective of company type, it is divided into three categories for statistics: namely, brokers (26); fintechs (16); and crypto firms (4). Such classification is far from accurate for certain firms operate astride more fields, providing both trading as well as B2B tech solutions. Moreover, we did not include executive changes in large financial institutions that provide pan-financial services.
We categorized the personnel movements as follows:
External hiring: 34 hires, 17 from 13 brokers, 14 from 11 fintechs, and 3 from 3 crypto firms;
Internal promotion: 19 promotions, 8 from 7 brokers, 1 from 1 fintech and 1 from 1 crypto firm;
Leaving: 19 leavings, 11 from 9 brokers, 7 from 5 fintechs and 1 from 1 crypto firm.

Therefore, from the above chart, we can roughly infer the following data distribution (as shown below): In the industry executive movements from February 6 to April 12, 2024, 53.97% are hires, 15.87% are promotions, and the remaining 30.16% left.

By company type, brokers have seen 17 hires, 8 promotions, and 11 leavings; for fintechs, 14 hired, 1 promoted and 7 left. Crypto firms saw 3 hires, 1 promotion and 1 leaving.
Executive Moves Worth Noting
In March, Baiju Bhatt, a co-founder of US-based retail trading app Robinhood Markets, Inc., has decided to part ways with the company, to pursue other entrepreneurial interests. He will resign from the role of Chief Creative Officer.
