Admiral Markets UK Limited (Admirals UK), the London-based arm of Admirals Group, an Estonia-based retail FX and CFDs broker, delivered an overall growth across key financial metrics during the full year of 2023, with turnover jumping 40 percent, according to the Companies House filing by the entity.

Specifically, turnover for 2023 came in at £8.4 million, rising from £6.0 million in 2022. Gross profit experienced an increase of 43 percent from £5.8 million to £8.3 million.

Cost of sales for the year declined from £230,481 in 2022 to £122,349. Administrative expenses, however, grew to £8.4 million from £6.1 million.

Profit before taxation of the year stood at £19,355, compared to loss of £267,145 in the prior year. The company produced profit for the financial year of £46,316, while incurring a loss of £290,778 in 2022. Total comprehensive income for the year was £69,496, compared to £306,830 loss in the previous year.

"During the course of 2023, the company continued to look for clients residing in the UK. Volumes of trading by clients rose, with increased turnover and a decrease in the cost of sales," noted the filing.

Previously, Admirals Group disclosed a huge loss during 2023 despite a significant rise in active and new clients.

Early this month, Fazzaco reported that the group has halted the registration of new clients in the EU due to regulatory challenges. But the trading and investing activities for existing clients are not affected by this "temporary and voluntary" suspension.

Admirals UK "therefore began a programme of transferring existing EU clients to another group company in the EU, so that marketing and trading activities could be targeted at non-EU resident clients in the future," added the filing.
