ADSS Names Former Saxo Bank Executive Dan Squires as Chief Commercial Officer

Online broker ADSS has appointed Dan Squires as its new Chief Commercial Officer, a move that reflects the firm's ongoing strategic focus on the MENA region.
Squires transitions to the Abu Dhabi-based broker from Saxo Bank's UK division, where he had served as Chief Commercial Officer after initially joining as Head of Sales in 2023. His financial services background includes roles at TP ICAP's Liquidnet, RBC, Citi, Merrill Lynch, and a brief period at AI startup Imandra.
In a public note shared on social media, Squires described the decision as driven by the opportunity rather than external pressures: "This is nothing to do with UK taxes / growth / politics and everything to do with the opportunity to play a part in taking the UAE's #1 local broker into its next exciting phase of growth."
ADSS, formerly known as ADS Securities, withdrew from the UK market in 2023 and now concentrates primarily on serving clients in the Middle East and North Africa. The firm operates under the ownership of ADS Holding LLC and is led by CEO Ahmed Khalifa Al Mehairi.
Squires' appointment comes at a time when ADSS is looking to expand its market presence and further capitalize on regional growth opportunities in financial services.
