The UK arm of CFD broker AETOS has officially exited the British financial market, surrendering its authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). According to the FCA registry, the company cited "ceasing to trade" as the reason for the licence cancellation, a step typically associated with dissolution or administration.

The UK entity had operated under a Cayman Islands-based parent company since securing its licence in 2021. Despite being authorised to offer CFD trading across various asset classes, including forex and indices, the firm saw minimal revenue from actual brokerage services. In fiscal year 2024, of the £479,000 in total turnover, just £4,761 was attributed to broking commissions. The majority stemmed from management service fees.

Regulatory filings with Companies House show the company submitted a Solvency Statement, which is often used in scenarios involving capital reductions.

The move places AETOS among a growing list of CFD brokers scaling back or ceasing UK operations. Other firms including ADSS and TrivePro have previously exited the UK retail market.
