Payments network Affirm announced a strategic partnership with financial infrastructure platform Stripe to provide Stripe's consumers with more payment options.

Stripe's users in the US. can now access to Affirm's Adaptive Checkout™, which uses Affirm's smart decision engine to make a real-time underwriting decision and offer consumers bi-weekly and monthly pay over time options side-by-side.

As businesses using Stripe add the technology to their accounts, eligible consumers can choose to use Affirm to share the cost of purchases ranging from $50 to $30,000 at the time of payment, with a maximum credit limit of $17,500. Consumers will have a clear view of their accounts without paying late or hidden fees, according to the payment network provider.

"Businesses need to move quickly to keep up with changing consumer preferences. For ten years, Affirm has been a powerful tool for businesses to reach new customers and drive growth. Stripe users can now get started accepting payments with Affirm in mere minutes." said Sophie Sakellariadis, Payments Product Lead at Stripe.

Affirm has established cooperative relationships with several companies throughout the year. In early May, the company tapped financial services technology provider Fiserv to become the first BNPL option fully integrated into the Carat℠ operating system. Also, it has partnered with Verifone, a payment solutions provider, to provide more flexible payment options for the latter's eCommerce and card-present payment solutions. Last August, the payment network reached cooperations with Apple and Amazon, helping to launch BNPL service for Apple's Canadian customers and to provide payment solutions for Amazon.
