AIMS Secures BAPPEBTI License, Opens Jakarta Office in Indonesian Market Entry
AIMS has entered the Indonesian market after securing regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI), marking a key step in its Southeast Asian expansion. The broker has opened a Jakarta office to tap into one of the region's largest and fastest-growing retail trading markets.
The license allows AIMS to operate legally and offer trading services to local clients, placing it among the country's regulated brokers. The firm officially launched AIMS Indonesia on May 25, 2026, reinforcing its commitment to Southeast Asia's largest economy.
AIMS views Indonesia as a strategic market due to its population of over 270 million and rising retail trading interest, fueled by increasing smartphone and digital platform adoption. Indonesia has attracted several global brokers in recent years, including Plus500, which entered via acquisition, and Doo Financial Futures, which also secured BAPPEBTI approval.
Beyond Southeast Asia, AIMS transitioned to a prime brokerage business after securing a new Market Maker license from ASIC in September 2024. The firm has also entered a cross-industry partnership with the Lamborghini brand and its winery, linking luxury heritage with its trading services across the Asia-Pacific region.
