Airwallex Launches in US to Expand Global Presence

Fintech company Airwallex recently announced its launch in the U.S to expand its global presence.

According to the official press release, U.S.-based businesses can now enjoy a full suite of products to support their cross-border payment needs in a fast, transparent and secure way.

According to the company, its entry into the U.S. supports its global growth strategy aimed at achieving its vision to become the global financial infrastructure for businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. 

Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2015, Airwallex is one of the fastest growing financial technology companies today, operating across 12 offices with a global team of over 900 employees.

Airwallex first established a presence in San Francisco in 2019, and has grown to a team of more than 30 today across product and engineering, legal, risk & compliance, partnerships and sales. 

Airwallex’s market entry into the U.S. is supported by a partnership with domestic bank Evolve Bank & Trust, a technology-focused financial services organization and Banking-as-a-Service provider. The company plans to continue to expand its U.S team over the coming months, as it looks to further strengthen its foothold in the market.
