Allied Bank Pakistan Chooses BPC as Payments Solution Provider

To start and support its SME acquisition business, Allied Bank Pakistan has chosen BPC as its payments solution supplier.

Both companies hope to boost merchant and business acquisitions through the cooperation, as well as enabling payments in-person, online, and within apps.

The deal calls for the use of BPC's SmartVista platform, which enables the integration of internal systems with external partners. Additionally, it will make a number of "micro-services" for omnichannel merchant administration, point of sale (POS) and QR acquiring, merchant site and apps, fraud and risk management, and payment acceptance services possible.

The goal of Allied Bank's collaboration with BPC, according to the bank, is to "make it simple for SMEs to register a business account online and accept payments, as well as manage how they are handling their finances, forecasting, and performance."

According to Ahson Saeed, managing director of BPC Pakistan, "Payments acceptance has become the number one worry for enterprises and merchants since it impacts negatively on their bottom line and client retention."
