Alpha Group Reports Strong Interim Growth as Corpay Acquisition Advances

Alpha Group has reported strong interim results for the first half of 2025, highlighting double-digit growth in several key metrics, while confirming progress on its proposed acquisition by Corpay Inc.
For the six months ended 30 June 2025, group revenue rose 34% year-on-year to £86.2 million. The company's corporate division led the growth with a 68% increase to £50.1 million, while revenues from private markets edged up 2% to £34.1 million. Underlying profit before tax climbed 25% to £27.9 million.
Despite these gains, profit before tax fell 20% to £48.5 million, reflecting a share-based payment charge of £11.9 million and M&A-related fees of £1.7 million. On an underlying basis, earnings per share rose 34% to 49.7p.
Commenting on the results, CEO Clive Kahn said: "Total revenues in the first half of the year continued to show strong growth rates despite ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty. Our Risk Management businesses benefited from increased market volatility as well as benefiting from significant prior-year investments, robust growth strategies, and market-leading teams."
Alpha also confirmed that shareholder approval has been secured for its all-cash acquisition by Corpay Inc., with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2025 subject to final regulatory clearance. Kahn added that the deal "recognises the value of Alpha's performance, people and potential" while the company remains focused on capturing growth opportunities in the second half of the year.
