American Express Adds Lisa W. Wardell to Board

Fazzaco has learned that American Express Company has added Lisa W. Wardell, Chairman and CEO of Adtalem Global Education to its Board of Directors, effective March 8, 2021. Ms Wardell will also join the Board's Risk Committee.

As seen on her LinkedIn profile, Ms Wardell is now working as Chairman and CEO of Adtalem Global Education, a leading provider of workforce solutions and educational services. Prior to joining Adtalem, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at The RLJ Companies, a diversified holding company with portfolio companies in the financial services. Before that, Ms Wardell served as Principal at Katalyst Venture Partners, a private equity firm that invested in start-up technology companies in the media and communications industries.

Ms Wardell is a graduate of Vassar College with a bachelor degree in Political Science and holds a J.D. from Stanford University. She received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
