AMF Adds Another Website Belonging to Omega Pro Ltd to Forex Blacklist

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) announced recently the addition of another website Businessempire.fr belonging to Omega Pro Ltd, whose site www.omegapro.world has already been blacklisted in 2020, to their Forex blacklist.

According to the official statement, Businessempire.fr also provides Forex trading services  without authorizatio, advertising unrealistic gains ("more than 300% in 16 months") with an automated Forex trading service, presented as "a safe haven".

"Omega Pro Ltd is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and advertises itself as a 'registered brokerage firm' in that country, although the local Financial Services Authority stated in a warning dated 3 February 2022 that it does not issue any Forex trading licences," the two agencies stated.

So far, Omega Pro Ltd has not been granted authorization to deliver investment services in mainland France, overseas departments or territories. Hence, the AMF and the ACPR are strongly urging investors not to respond to solicitations from people claiming to be from this company.

In early April, Fazzaco reported that the AMF has appointed Jessica Reyes​, as Director of the Asset Management Regulation Division in the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate.
