AMLYZE Launches Open Knowledge Initiative AMLTRIX

In response to the persistent global challenge of money laundering, AMLYZE, a company focused on anti-money laundering (AML) solutions, has announced the launch of AMLTRIX. This initiative is described as the first open knowledge graph designed to standardize and improve the fight against illicit financial activities.
AMLYZE highlights the significant scale of the problem, citing a United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) estimate that between $800 billion and $2 trillion is laundered annually, representing up to 5% of global GDP. The company argues that financial institutions have historically faced difficulties due to a fragmented approach to combating this issue.
AMLTRIX aims to address this by creating a universal language for AML professionals. This open-source initiative structures money laundering tactics, techniques, and risk indicators into an easily accessible format, akin to a "periodic table" for financial crime detection. AMLYZE believes this will enable better collaboration and efficiency among banks, fintechs, regulatory bodies, and technology providers.
Gabrielius Erikas Bilkštys, CEO and Co-Founder of AMLYZE, commented on the launch, stating, "AMLTRIX is not just another compliance tool. It's a movement toward a smarter, more connected AML community. By developing a standardized framework, we are empowering financial institutions to fight financial crime with unprecedented efficiency and clarity."
Key features of AMLTRIX include its structured organization of money laundering tactics, its consolidation of best practices from various institutions, its aim to bridge the gap between compliance and technology by making AML insights machine-readable for AI-driven detection models, and its free and collaborative nature, allowing experts worldwide to contribute and refine the knowledge base. AMLYZE draws parallels to successful standardized frameworks in other fields like cybersecurity and disinformation analysis.
