What bumper profits those bridge vendors have made in the forex market! It seems like a win-win situation has maintained between forex brokers and bridge vendors. But Russians are more than a wild card.

In 2013, MT5 offered accessed to a host of liquidity providers like Integral, CitiFX Pro, Currenex to name a few by providing brokers with the MT5 Gateway. This gateway allows any MetaTrader 5 broker to connect directly to any other MetaTrader 5 broker for liquidity. As a simple and secure solution, it provided maximum speed of executing operations. By using the Gateway, MT5 liquidity providers can boost their profits by offering zero-cost liquidity services, while other MT5 brokers have access to an increased liquidity pool within minutes.

Luckily, MT4 couldn’t access the interbank market without bridge solution, otherwise all the bridge vendors except for MetaTrader would lament.

The largest advantage of MT5 Gateay is its stability. After all, it is developed by MT5’s parent company MetaTrader. However, with high compatibility comes low flexibility. It may end up in failure if the liquidity providers don’t adopt MT4/MT5 trading platforms or the broker tries to connect to multiple liquidity providers or the bridging rules are inconsistent.
