Andrew Gibson Leaves Tavira Securities, Opens New FX Brokerage

Fazzaco learned that Andrew Gibson has resigned from the role of Head of Product Development, FX and CFDs at Tavira Securities Dubai after one year and nine months, and started to launch his own FX brokerage, TimberFX, which is based in Cyprus.

In addition, Andrew has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of TimberFX. He boasts about two decade of experience in the FX industry, having served multiple top-rated companies with senior positions.

Before Tavira Securities, Andrew was at a Cyprus investment firm, Alfa Capital Markets Limited, for over three years. He joined the firm as Head of Institutional FX Sales, then rose to Head of Institutional Sales.

Previously, he worked as Product Manager FX at BCS Financial Group, Global Sales Director at TradAir, Sales Manager FX Products at Fortis Bank Global Clearing NV (now BNP Paribas Fortis), and Sales Manager at ForexManage Limited.

Besides, Andrew was a consultant in FX at Fastmatch, Inc. (now Euronext FX), then at SGBbv.
