ANZ Appoints Shane Buggle as Acting Chief Financial Officer

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) announced today the appointment of Shane Buggle as its Acting Chief Financial Officer with effect from 8 February 2021.
As Fazzaco reported on 22 December 2020, Michelle Jablko, ANZ's Chief Financial Officer would leave the bank to take up a senior role at another organisation outside of financial services and transition her duties to Mr. Buggle whose previous role is ANZ's Group General Manager Internal Audit. In order to ensure a smooth transition, Ms Jablko will remain an employee of ANZ until 26 March 2021.
Shane Buggle has been with ANZ for a total of more than 20 years. From April 1993 to April 1999, he was Senior Manager of Group Finance at ANZ. Following his departure, Mr. Buggle' two short stints outside ANZ include Financial Controller and Company Secretary of Zurich Financial Services for more than 2 years and CFO of CPA Australia for 9 months. He rejoined ANZ as CFO of Consumer Finance in April 2003 and spent the following 18 years climbing the corporate ladder to the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer.
ANZ also announced today another appointment that Current General Manager Internal Audit, Group Functions Sandra Burns has been promoted as Acting Group General Manager Internal Audit, again with effect from 8 February 2021.
