Apex Fintech Solutions has launched a new API-based service that allows brokers and fintech firms to offer Kalshi’s event contracts within their own trading interfaces without building their own Futures Commission Merchant infrastructure or direct exchange connectivity. Tastytrade, owned by IG Group, is the first firm to go live on the infrastructure, now offering CFTC-regulated event contracts across commodities, crypto, economic data, and financial markets. The launch follows IG’s agreement to acquire Underdog, a U.S. daily fantasy sports and prediction-markets operator, in a deal worth up to $1.3 billion, making tastytrade’s early use of the integration part of a wider push into event-based trading.

Event contracts are regulated derivatives, requiring brokers to manage product eligibility, disclosures, and contract positions. Apex handles much of the infrastructure, connecting Kalshi to broker platforms and providing back-office functions. The broker still decides product presentation and compliance. The service runs through Apex’s AscendOS APIs, allowing customers to see event contract positions alongside other assets. “Investors want to trade on direct events, not proxies,” said Travis McGhee, Global Head of Digital Markets at Apex Fintech Solutions. “Through our platform, clients can now offer Kalshi’s event contracts with ease.”

The timing reflects growing interest in prediction markets, with Bernstein projecting annual volumes could approach $1 trillion by 2030, subject to regulatory clarity. The model gives Kalshi a distribution channel to broker customers without requiring each platform to build infrastructure from scratch. For Apex, the service adds a product category to its clearing and custody stack. Apex provides infrastructure for nearly 200 firms, including Webull, eToro US, Stash, and Ally Invest, offering a large distribution channel. Kalshi is the first venue available; Apex plans to add others if demand warrants.
