Aquis Exchange, an operator of the world's only subscription-based trading venues, released its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2023, highlighting a significant year-on-year revenue growth across all divisions.

According to the data released, net revenue of the exchange for 2023 rose by 13% from £20.1 million to £22.7 million. In terms of division, net revenue from Markets accounted for £10.9 million, up 7% on a year-on-year basis (YoY). Net revenue from Technologies reached £6.3 million, up 22% YoY. The Data division recorded a net revenue of £3.7 million, up 24% YoY. Lastly, the Aquis Stock Exchange reported a net revenue of £1.8 million, up 8% YoY.

Profit before tax for the full year reached £5.2 million, increasing 15% compared to £4.5 million in 2022. Basic EPS stood at 19.4 pence for the year, an increase of 13% compared to 17.2 pence per share in 2022.

Furthermore, cash and cash equivalents as at December 31, 2023 were £14.8 million, 4% higher than £14.2 million in the prior year.

Alasdair Haynes, CEO of Aquis Exchange, commented: "I am really pleased to announce that the Aquis Group has continued to deliver a strong performance with double digit revenue and profit growth across all divisions, despite some of the most challenging market and economic conditions we have ever seen, which have continued into the first quarter of 2024.

"This makes it all the more noteworthy that Aquis was able to deliver growth across all its divisions, with significant progress made on a number of strategic initiatives, including an increase in the pan-European market share of our Aquis Markets division, and a significant Technology contract secured with a central bank.

"Aquis has a proven track record of growth since our IPO in 2018, and we're more excited than ever about the opportunities ahead for all of our divisions: from the global reach of our leading technology to the strength of our market share, and the disproportionate upside for Aquis as the UK and EU head towards a consolidated tape. Supporting this confidence is our strong cash position, which enables us to grow and innovate further in coming years."
