The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has today (November 8, 2023) updated its Investor Alert List, with the addition of 77 suspicious websites, among which 52 are unlicensed entities and 25 are impersonating legitimate entities.

Below are the 77 suspicious websites:

The watchdog notes that the websites on this list do not hold a current Australian financial services (AFS) licence or Australian credit licence from ASIC, therefore, are not allowed to offer investments in Australia.

In addition, ASIC warns that even if a name can not be found on the list, it doesn’t mean it can be trusted.

In October, the Australian regulator has suspended the AFS licence of financial services provider, Celtic Equities Management Pty Ltd for six months.
