ASIC Cancels Financial Services Licence of Arrumar Private Pty Ltd
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has officially revoked the Australian financial services (AFS) licence of Arrumar Private Pty Ltd due to non-compliance with key regulatory obligations. The decision, effective from 23 October 2025, follows the company's failure to meet certain conditions required by ASIC to maintain its licence.
Among the compliance issues identified, Arrumar failed to become a member of an external dispute resolution scheme and did not submit the required financial reports, including a true and fair profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and auditor's report for the financial year ending 30 June 2024.
ASIC's action is in accordance with section 915C(1) of the Corporations Act, which allows the regulator to cancel an AFS licence if the licensee does not fulfill its obligations. As a result of the cancellation, Arrumar is no longer authorized to provide financial services related to a variety of products, such as deposits, bonds, life products, managed investment schemes, margin lending, and superannuation.
Arrumar Private Pty Ltd retains the right to challenge ASIC's decision through the Administrative Review Tribunal.
