ASIC Cancels James B Cogan's AFS Licence

ASIC has cancelled the Australian financial services (AFS) licence of James B Cogan.
The licence was cancelled because Mr Cogan is no longer carrying on a financial services business.
ASIC may cancel an AFS licence held by an individual if the person ceases to carry on a financial services business.
Mr Cogan may apply to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for a review of ASIC's decision.
Background
Mr Cogan held AFS licence number 247221 since 10 March 2004.
As Fazzaco previously reported, ASIC has also canceled the Australian financial services (AFS) license of CMH Financial Group Pty Ltd (CMHFG). The license was canceled because CMHFG failed to maintain external dispute resolution membership with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
