ASIC Cancels Registration of Two Corporate Service Agents

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has cancelled the registered agent status of Registration Pty Ltd and Biz Australia Pty Ltd for breaches of its terms and conditions. These entities are affiliated with the reg.com.au website. The cancellation follows an earlier suspension of their registration.

The action aligns with a warning ASIC issued in May 2026 regarding unsolicited communications from third-party service providers about company annual reviews or business name renewals. The regulator noted that such materials can be confused as being authorized or sent by ASIC itself.

ASIC clarified that these providers are separate from the commission. While some may be ASIC-registered agents authorized to assist companies with tasks like lodging documents, they may charge additional fees on top of the standard ASIC levies.
