ASIC Revokes AFS Licences of Capital Investment Partners and DGR

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) today has cancelled the Australian financial services (AFS) licences of two entities: Capital Investment Partners Pty Ltd (Capital Investment Partners) and DGR Bloodstock Services Pty Ltd (DGR).
According to the regulator's announcement, these licences were cancelled on the basis that Capital Investment Partners and DGR have ceased to carry on a financial services business.
ASIC explained that it may cancel an AFS licence held by a body corporate without a hearing if the body ceases to carry on a financial services business.
Capital Investment Partners has held AFS licence no. 292416 since 13 October 2005, and DGR has held AFS licence no. 288153 since 8 July 2005.
