The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has suspended the Australian financial services (AFS) licence of Surety Compliance Limited until 27 October 2026.

Surety acts as the responsible entity for the Private Investment Fund. ASIC said the suspension follows the firm’s failure to meet minimum financial requirements and maintain professional indemnity insurance.

Under the suspension terms, Surety may continue providing services necessary to process redemptions and wind up the fund. The firm must also continue to comply with obligations relating to dispute resolution, membership in the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, and professional indemnity insurance where applicable.

Surety is permitted to seek a review of the decision through the Administrative Review Tribunal.

The company has held AFS licence number 322 620 since October 2008.
