ASX Secures Andrew Tobin as Its New Chief Financial Officer

The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), one of the world's top ten exchanges, has announced the appointment of Andrew Tobin as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective from 5 September 2022.
Andrew brings with 25 years experience in the banking, insurance and wealth management industries in Australia and Asia. He will replace Gillian Larkins who is set to depart at the end of August 2022.
As seen on his Linkedin profile, Andrew previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Challenger Limited, where he spent for more than 13 years. He first joined the company in October 2007 as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and then promoted to Chief Financial Officer after 4 years.
Prior to joining Challenger Limited, Andrew worked at Commonwealth Bank, a leading provider of financial services in Australia, and most recently worked as General Manager, Finance, Premium Business Services. Over the course of his career, he also held position at MLC Australia, Lendlease, and KPMG.
ASX recently published its financials for the financial year 2022, ending on 30 June 2022, reporting a rise in its revenue and profits. The operating revenue for the period came in at $1,022.7 million, 7.5 percent higher than the figures of the prior comparative period (FY21). Net profit after tax was up by 5.7 percent or $27.6 million when compared to the 2021 financial year, coming in at $508.5 million.
