A temporary outage in Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in Singapore caused brief disruptions for several cryptocurrency exchanges on Tuesday. The incident, which AWS reported at 8:15 am local time, led to network issues that affected trading platforms.

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced at 9:07 am that it had temporarily suspended withdrawals as a precautionary measure. The exchange stated the suspension was "to keep safe" following issues "due to a temporary network interruption in the AWS data center." Binance later reported that withdrawal services were restored shortly after, at approximately 9:15 am.

Other cryptocurrency platforms also reported experiencing problems. KuCoin and MEXC both indicated disruptions around 9:00 am, though they have yet to provide further updates. Crypto wallet provider Rabby Wallet also suffered an outage but has since reported that its services are largely operational again. Additionally, crypto firm DeBank became temporarily unavailable.

MEXC issued a statement indicating that the AWS outage might result in "abnormal candlestick charts, failed order cancellations, delays in asset transfers for spot trading, and no effects on futures trading."

AWS reported that the issue was resolved by 8:51 am and stated that the service was "operating normally," adding that they do not anticipate a recurrence.

Protos has reached out to Binance, MEXC, and KuCoin for further comment on the impact of the outage.
