Axe Trader Halts Operations After CEO's Health Emergency

Axe Trader, a proprietary trading firm, has announced an immediate suspension of its trading activities following a serious health incident involving its founder and CEO, Rick Knight. The company revealed that Knight, known in the trading community as "Uncle Rick," suffered a heart attack that required multiple cardiac surgeries. As a result, the company's management team made the decision to pause all operations until Knight's recovery.
In an official statement on the firm's Discord channel, Axe Trader reassured its clients, saying, "All accounts will be paused exactly where they are. No progress will be lost, and we will ensure everything resumes seamlessly when we return." However, the company did not specify a timeline for when trading operations would resume, indicating that the duration of the suspension would depend on Knight's recovery.
While some clients have expressed concerns about the firm's reliance on one individual, Axe Trader's leadership emphasized that the team continues to monitor market developments and maintain platform integrity during the downtime. The company also advised clients to refrain from executing trades while operations remain halted.
Since its inception in December 2022, Axe Trader has grown to a team of approximately a dozen employees and had recently expanded its services to include MetaQuotes platforms, including MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
