Axi Bids Farewell to Chief Commercial Officer Louis Cooper

Axi has announced that its Chief Commercial Officer, Louis Cooper, will retire at the end of September after nearly a decade at the company. His departure marks the close of an era during which the broker transformed from a regional player into a global name in retail trading.
Cooper joined Axi in 2016 and quickly became one of its key architects for growth. Over the past nine years, he has overseen commercial strategy, brand development, and the expansion of services into over 100 countries. Axi now offers trading in forex, CFDs, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies, with Cooper credited for much of the diversification effort.
In a statement, Cooper expressed pride in his role in Axi's growth story. "It has been a privilege to be part of Axi's remarkable journey. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. I leave knowing that Axi is in strong, capable hands, and I have absolute confidence in the Executive and Senior Management Team to take the company forward to even greater heights."
While stepping down from executive responsibilities, Cooper will remain a shareholder, ensuring his alignment with the company's long-term vision. Axi said this continuity would help provide stability during the leadership transition.
Chief Executive Rajesh Yohannan praised Cooper's contribution, describing him as "integral" to Axi's rise. "While we will miss him, we are immensely grateful for his contributions and pleased that he will remain connected to Axi as a shareholder and ongoing supporter of our mission," Yohannan said.
The announcement did not include details on Cooper's successor, though the firm noted that further leadership updates would follow. With Axi continuing to invest in technology upgrades and expanding its client services, the company framed the retirement as a natural handover rather than a disruption.
Cooper's exit highlights the growing generational shift within the brokerage sector, as executives who helped build today's largest brands begin to hand the reins to a new wave of leaders. For Axi, maintaining continuity while refreshing its senior team will be key to sustaining momentum in a crowded and competitive market.
