B2C2 USA Taps Nicola White as CEO

B2C2, a cryptocurrency trading company owned by Japanese bank SBI Holdings Inc. (SBI), has named Nicola White as CEO of its U.S. entity, effective immediately. She succeeds Rob Catalanello, who is leaving the company.

Nicola joined B2C2 in July 2021 as president of B2C2 USA. She offers extensive experience in financial services. Prior to that, Nicola had worked at Citadel Securities as global COO of fixed income for five years. Before Citadel Securities, she was global head of electronic markets within the fixed income division at Morgan Stanley, where she completed two major assignments —— the electronification of interest rate trading for the bank and the launch of a Canadian fixed income business.

Nicola's predecessor Rob joined B2C2 in 2019. Prior to that, he ran Hibernia Metallum, a consulting firm advising major financial institutions on the set-up, structure and day-to-day operation of capital markets, cryptocurrency and blockchain businesses in the United States. Rob has worked in the banking industry for more than 25 years, having served as vice president, foreign exchange sales at Goldman Sachs, global head of foreign exchange sales at Merrill Lynch, Chairman of the Chief Dealers Working Subcommittee and Market Risk Subcommittee of Federal Reserve Bank of NY FX Markets Committee, as well as head of foreign exchange and head of fixed income market sales of Credit Agricole, Americas. 

B2C2 was acquired by SBI and became the bank's crypto business unit in 2020. The acquisition was said to be aimed at consolidating and enhancing the position of B2C2 as a major liquidity provider, thereby helping SBI expand its global market. In March, B2C2 has successively joined the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) and the Futures Industry Association (FIA). Earlier this month, the cryptocurrency trading firm launched its first Dual Digital Asset Instrument (DDAI). As an electronic trading innovator, Nicola has extensive experience in the financial sector and is expected to further advance B2C2's cryptocurrency trading capabilities, helping the firm achieve its strategic goals.
